Sony has been celebrating 30 years of PlayStation by selling limited-edition controllers and consoles and now they have released an update taking us back to the past. Players can now update their PlayStation 5 by going to Settings, then System, and then there will be an update available to start.

The PS5 update lets players customize aspects of the console’s design based on the different generations from PS1 all the way to the current console. After installing the latest update, players will see the PlayStation 1 boot-up sequence during the console’s start-up process, which will also display the PlayStation 30th Anniversary logo.

Sony did not specify how long this update will be available, but it’s clear that PlayStation fans will definitely want it to be permanent.
