Reanimal: All Mask Locations

Discover everything you need to know about all the mask locations in Reanimal, including how to acquire them while progressing.

Masks in Reanimal are collectible items you find while exploring the key locations. They don’t give major gameplay powers like combat bonuses. You can use them to change the appearance of your character when equipped. The game allows you to swap them anytime from the game menu once collected.

Masks are found in hidden areas and optional paths. Collecting all masks contributes to completion progress and unlock Beneath the Mask achievement. They are scattered across each chapter in hidden or secret parts of levels. While some require careful exploration, the others can be located by solving the puzzles.

All Masks in Reanimal

Below are all the masks you can obtain while progressing through different chapters in Reanimal.

Bird Head Mask (Chapter 1)

This mask is located inside the area of the Mill section. You need to crawl through the initial sewer tunnel and climb the first ladder into the building. Continue moving and work together with your ally to reach the second ladder.

Climb that second ladder, head left, and continue forward till you encounter the door. Squeeze through the crack in a wall beyond the door to find Bird Head Mask inside a crate.

Worm Head Mask (Chapter 1)

Progress normally through Chapter 1 and stop at the area where you stopped the spinning boiler. Enter the large room with lockers along one wall.

Open that steaming locker and crouch through the small opening. Move inside the washroom and collect the Worm Head Mask. Steam coming out from the locker is your main clue.

Conch Head Mask (Chapter 1)

Progress through the Mill area and move to the railway track. Make sure to take a moment to look around before moving forward.

Go to the right side the near the train track, and find the second door next to the tracks. Get inside the room and get up to the upper platform. Collect the Conch Head Mask from the ground next to a bench.

Pig Head Mask (Chapter 2)

Get inside the village area and move inside the clothing store with statues at the start. Go inside the clothing store by lifting the shutter door. Move into the room in front of you and take cover behind the counter on the left.

Find the hole in this area and crawl through it to enter the secret room. Pick up the Pig Head Mask from the ground inside this hidden room.

Cone Head Mask (Chapter 2)

After completing the tasks inside the cinema, exit the cinema to return to the village square. Move to the right side of the abandoned building and hop inside. Be aware of the critter in this building, so use the crowbar to break the wooden planks on the doorway.

Move inside and use the weapon to hit the enemy till he dies. Once defeated, the Cone Head Mask will drop. You must have the crowbar from inside the cinema before heading out towards the critter.

Deer Head Mask (Chapter 3)

Progress through Chapter 3 until you reach the area after the tall cliff face. Once in the flower field area, stick to the left side. Find a scarecrow standing in the left part of the field. Use the crowbar to hit the scarecrow, allowing you to release a critter that jumps off it.

The objective here for you is to defeat the critter to obtain the Deer Head Mask. Kill the critter quickly, and it may run a bit, so chase it down before it disappears.

Bucket Head Mask (Chapter 4)

Progress into Chapter 4 until you reach the clock tower room. Move inside and go to the far right side. Look for a crawlspace under a bookshelf or similar hidden opening to crawl through, allowing you to enter the secret area.

An enemy with the bucket on its head spawns here and starts running away from you. Chase down the critter and use your weapon to eliminate it. Defeating this enemy drops the Bucket Head Mask on the ground.

Crown Head Mask (Chapter 4)

Get inside the area with Spider Kid in a large hall or dining area. You find multiple spider kids here in this area, and one of them is wearing the crown sitting on the chair. Start defeating the other spider kids, and the crowned spider kid tries to escape from behind the chair.

You need to quickly chase him down and use the weapon to defeat him. Eliminating the crowned spider kid drops the Crown Head Mask on the ground for you to pick up. If the crowned spider kid escapes, reload from the last checkpoint and approach the area again.

Plant Head Mask (Chapter 4)

Continue progressing in Chapter 4 till you clear the spider‑kids in the room with beds. Once defeated, enter the corridor with gaps in the floor. The forward path usually continues the story, but the mask is behind you.

You need to move back towards the camera and crawl through the crack in the wall. Pick up the Plant Head Mask from the ground.  

Fish Head Mask (Chapter 6)

Find the control room puzzle and solve it to progress further. Once solved, descend the ladder and jump down onto the beach.

Continue moving to the left on the beach till you find the critter wearing a fish face. Use your crowbar to defeat that critter. When it’s killed, it will drop the Fish Head Mask for you to pick up.

Package Head Mask (Chapter 6)

Fire the cannon on the island and reach the part where you can use the boat. After firing the cannon, go back to the boat instead of moving forward. From the boat, travel along the narrow path that was previously blocked by the Brook Horse.

You encounter several mines along the path. Use your harpoon to blow them up to progress further. After passing the mined section, continue following the cliffs from the left. Locate the beach area with scattered shipping containers. You can pick up the Package Head Mask from the ground in the middle of the beach.

Diving Helmet Masks x2 (Chapter 6)

Progress through Chapter 6 until you complete the diving sequence. Equip the diving suit and interact with each diving helmet on the ground.

You can pick them both at a time, as there are two masks of this type. You hear a confirmation sound when each helmet is added to your collection. You can equip either helmet later from the Masks menu.

Bush Head Mask (Chapter 7)

Continue progressing in Chapter 7 till you reach the part just before entering the trenches. Once you drop into the trench area, you typically can’t go back.

Move to the right side of the path and approach the metal door. Open the metal door and crawl through it to get inside the secret area. Once inside, pick up the Bush Head Mask sitting in front of you.

Mine Head Mask (Chapter 7)

From the secret room where you collect the Bush Head Mask, continue moving down the ramp and past the first two dead soldiers. Eventually, you reach a point where a soldier with a shotgun stands near the entrance.

Move to the right side of the trench entrance and squeeze through the cracked wall. You find yourself in a hidden room with the Mine Head Mask on the ground.

Rabbit Head Mask (Chapter 7)

The Rabbit Head Mask doesn’t appear unless you’ve collected all five Hidden Statues. Statues are scattered across various chapters and must be collected in the first place. Missing any statue allows the Rabbit Head Mask to not appear.

Once obtained all the statues, progress through the trenches until you trigger the soldier. Go past this soldier and move to the left side of the wall to squeeze through the cracked wall. Pick up the Rabbit Head Mask from the ground in this hidden room.

Amphibian Head Mask (Chapter 7)

Keep progressing in this chapter till you’ve moved past the trench combat and get inside the hospital. Get inside the elevator to move up and use the crowbar to open the door of the hospital. Once inside, look to the right‑hand side of the room near a desk.

Crouch under the desk to enter a secret room and collect the Amphibian Head Mask from the ground. Make sure you have a crowbar to open the blocked door of the hospital.

Gas Head Mask (Chapter 8)

Get inside the shooting range where multiple soldiers are hanging. You need to use the gun to shoot one of the hanging soldiers to make a key drop. Collect the key and use it to open the door on the right side of this area.

Interact with the oven to open the door after getting inside. Doing so allows you to release a critter that escaped from you and entered the courtyard. Use the gun to quickly shoot and kill that fast critter. Once it’s defeated, the Gas Head Mask will drop on the ground.
