Rhythm Heaven Groove Arrives To Nintendo Switch In 2026

Some of the highlights for Nintendo’s latest Nintendo Direct are announcements for ongoing IPs. While not showcasing a new date, the firm did reveal a new gameplay trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Additionally, the firm did also announce the new Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream which is aiming to release for Nintendo Switch next year.

Other anticipated titles includes Tamagotchi Plaza coming this June, High on Life arriving in May, and Rift of the NecroDancer which launched the day of the showcase this Thursday. On the topic of games, Nintendo also did a segment on its new Virtual Game Cart system to enable players with digital purchases to lend to other friends.

In the meat of the presentation, Nintendo also announced that Rhythm Heaven Groove is coming to Nintendo Switch sometime next year. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

“The Rhythm Heaven series returns with a brand new entry: Rhythm Heaven Groove! Play a wealth of eclectic rhythm games along with music produced by the renowned Japanese musician Tsunku♂,” Nintendo writes for the description for Rhythm Heaven Groove. Moreover, there is not grasp whether the game will receive a dedicated Nintendo Switch 2 version or not.

With a new Direct coming next week, there is still no clarity on what exact titles will be receiving next-generation releases and what is to be ported via backwards compatibility support.
