For those who might not recall from what took place this past May, Take-Two Interactive – the parent company of Rockstar Games – released its financial report sharing some of the large merits and achievements that have been made for respected software. Alongside the extensive success for titles like Red Dead Redemption II and Grand Theft Auto V, the publisher discloses that there is more to expect from the online portions of both games later on.
And while both open-world projects have been receiving additional in-game events and weekly promotions, no major expansions or content drops have approached these games as of writing. Howbeit, the aforementioned new add-ons are underway as we speak. In particular for the 2018 action-western title, players can expect a new role to “introduce players to the secrets of naturalism,” Rockstar Games shares.
With the new update coming to Red Dead Redemption II’s Red Dead Online this coming Tuesday, July 28, Rockstar Games also pokes at new DLC for GTA online. In that, there is talks of more expansions coming to the heists experience for players later in 2020.
Later this year players can expect more big updates for both games, including some exciting new extensions and augmentations to an existing role in Red Dead Online, and the biggest ever update for GTA Online, featuring our latest take on Heists in an entirely new location.
This surely comes as a surprise seeing how recent that Rockstar Games dropped a separate new heist earlier on for GTA Online. It was in December that Rockstar Games introduced the Diamond Casino Heist which also included new weapons, vehicles, and the arcade business for players to continue growing their underground empire.
Elaborating more on this new addition said to arrive in the coming months, it is unsure what will be expanded on for this new heist. But taken from the statement that there will be “an entirely new location,” we can expect new scenarios that is outside of the San Andreas that we already know so well.
What do you hope will come from this new heist arriving to GTA Online later this year?
Grand Theft Auto V is out now for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC; confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
