Upon recent events, Call of Duty is continuing to be more accessible for players across multiple platforms. Already, Microsoft is promising this with the developing Activision Blizzard buyout with deals between NVIDIA GeForce Now & Boosteroid. Additionally, a slew of recent releases are also out for Steam as well. Not to mention growing confidence in Switch ports for the games as well fueled by Microsoft’s recent efforts.

As for the latest entry in the series – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II – Infinity Ward not to long ago rolled out Season 2 for the game. In that, new maps, weapons, and game modes were added. Not to mention the humbly welcomed Ashika Island experience for Warzone that is still growing. More excitedly, ‘Modern Warfare 3’ map Dome also made an appearance during the update in February.

Now this week, Infinity Ward has officially launched Season 3 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

Some of the showcased additions for Season 3 is the fresh content. Infinity Ward of course with its new ‘Task Force 141’-themed battle pass alongside the new ‘Blackcell’ Bundle as well. Weapons include the FJX Imperium sniper, Cronen Squall assault rifle, and a new pistol to be revealed later on. Story operators Alejandro & Valeria will be headlining the new season too.

For maps, multiplayer will welcome Pelayo’s Lighthouse, Black Gold, Sattio Cave Complex, Rohan Oilfields, and Alboran Hatchery. On a sidenote, Gunfight is to feature Blacksite, Exhibit, Shipment, and alley. Warzone 2.0 also gets some attention with DMZ improvements including workbench, new missions, and barter. Base Warzone also adds redeploy drones, UAV Towers, and a fresh Gulag map.
