One of Sony’s long lost exclusives for the PlayStation 4, WiLD was originally announced in 2014. We haven’t seen much of Michael Ancel’s project since then other than briefly showing up in 2015 at Paris Games Week and in 2017. Many thought the game was forgotten about because Michael was working on another game, but it looks like the game will still be happening. Spotted by Gematsu, WiLD from Sony Interactive Entertainment has been trademarked in the US.
Michael Ancel last said in July 2018 that they were “still working hard on it”. It’s possible we might see the the game pop up sometime this year at an event Sony hosts as they will not be at E3 2019 or it’s possible they’ll save it for the next generation console which will be the PlayStation 5. Trademarks don’t mean too much, but we can only hope they the title isn’t dead and will come out some day.
You can view the trademark information here.
WiLD is still listed on PlayStation’s website.
Are you looking forward to seeing new PlayStation exclusives in the future?
