S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl was originally announced in 2020 and since then the game has experienced several delays as the developer ran into a lot of obstacles. It was planned to release in 2021 and then it was pushed back to 2022 and now it will be releasing on November 20, 2024.

GSC Game World announced that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has officially gone Gold meaning the game is ready to be released and development is complete. Usually, developers make these announcements all the time as the game’s expected release gets closer, but for GSC Game World this one means a lot more.

The announcement was made on X (Formerly Twitter).

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be available on Xbox Series X|S and PC with no plans to release on PlayStation.
