Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks announced this week that Starfield will be coming to the PlayStation 5 on April 7. This raised the question amongst fans about a possible Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game. It had been reported that Starfield was in the works for the console, and apparently, that still remained to be true.
According to NateTheHate, who has been correct about Microsoft-related leaks before, said that Starfield for Switch 2 is in development. But, “it hasn’t been a smooth process. Cross fingers and hope for the best,” the insider stated to a fan’s response.
Microsoft wants to support other platforms by bringing its games to them. They have been the biggest supporter of the PlayStation 5 by bringing Gears of War and Forza Horizon 5 to the console. Later this year, we’ll also see Halo: Campaign Evolved.
The Nintendo Switch 2 is a unique console that may take extra time for major developers to port their games to it. We have already seen games like Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, and others released on the console.
