Today has already picked up to be one monumental morning for gaming-related reports as it was just unearthed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is said to be releasing tomorrow. Now moving to the lighter-hearted of games, another report has surfaced elsewhere telling that Super Mario Galaxy is expecting to be releasing on Nintendo Switch in the coming future.
According to sources that spoke with Video Game Chronicles, this return of the fan-favorite 2007 title is said to be in celebration of the 35-year anniversary of the Super Mario franchise. Regarding this title specifically, the original Wii game is said to be a re-release for Nintendo Switch, VGC reports.
Leading on, the sources followed by telling that a handful of other notable Super Mario entries are scheduled to release throughout the course of 2020. Validating these claims, sources who spoke with Eurogamer went to confirm that “a couple of other 3D Mario favourites” are also enlisted for release in the latter of this year.
Further into the report, Video Game Chronicles was also subjected to information regarding a live Super Mario 35th Anniversary event that was initially planned to take place later on at E3 this year. However, due to the raging concerns that surround the COVID-19 ailment, the event was withheld from commencing this approaching June, the ESA confirmed.
Alongside the newly unearthed report for Super Mario Galaxy coming to Nintendo Switch, it was previously reported that Paper Mario 64 would receive the same treatment. The report resurfaced earlier in January disclosing that the classic Nintendo 64 title among other notable returns would be embarking for 2020. And it seems this new line of sources corresponds with the alleged bevy of rumors.
Supporting the claims initially made in November, it was correct about the releases of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, and Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training. It is expected that more titles mentioned are entailed to align with the claims.
