Introduced by Telltale at San Diego Comic Con, but not suitably announced is their new in-game feature Crowd Play. Notorious for their single player exclusive gameplay and independent story telling throughout most of their games that have been released as of right now, Telltale’s upcoming Batman series will be the first to implement it.
Now you’re not alone, with this you and friends can join together to make decisions to change how the story unravels. At the beginning of each game the initial player will have the option to have Crowd Play on and off, if people choose to join they are sent a URL to sign in to (probably with a Telltale account) on either their phone or other devices.
With Crowd Play there are two modes: for people to decide the final decision or to give the crowd full control of the dialogue options which will then display the total count on the players screen. As well adding a like or dislike feature for the crowd to show the player after the decision has been made.
With this new feature it seems to give streamers especially more freedom to their viewers to help be part of the game and change the outcome when the game is completed. Crowd Play will be available to the public on August 2nd when Batman is released on Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 & 4 and PC.
