Following the recent news of Telltale on the brink from shutting down, it was discovered that the entire season is unavailable for purchase following the release of the second episode for The Final Season.
Looking at online retailers like GOG.com or the PlayStation Store, the game is “currently not available”. A statement was made on Good Old Games under the about segment reading:
Telltale has requested a temporary pause of sales of The Walking Dead – Final Season. For all up to date Telltale news, please refer to their official Twitter page.
Other stores like Xbox and Steam also don’t have the game listed for purchase as of right now. Assuming that this might be temporary if Telltale finds another developer to assist in finishing the concluding season. The studio made a statement previously that they are in search for “potential partners” for the last two episodes.
Other Telltale titles that won’t be making it to release is Wolf Among Us Season 2. Initially announced for 2018, delayed to 2019 is now being cancelled indefinitely.
