This past month or two for Naughty Dog’s approaching release for The Last of Us Part II has been a lengthy trial for the sequel as the game faced yet another delay for the game. Even more during that instance Sony disclosed that the release date for the game was undetermined which only discouraged excited fans for a close release after being pushed from its February release earlier on.

Howbeit, the game later received an update sharing that the title would now be shipping in mid June alongside Ghost of Tsushima which will now be arriving in the following July. But while the game is now cemented for a close release in the coming weeks, there is a feeling of vacancy regarding our current knowings of The Last of Us Part II.

Luckily, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that sans anticipating learning more on the game will only have to wait just more than a day as a new State of Play for the game will be hosted this coming Wednesday, May 27. “Over the course of this nearly 25 minute episode, Neil Druckmann, Director of The Last of Us Part II, will provide an extensive look at the gameplay, threats, and world of the game ahead of its release on 19th June on PS4,” Sony shares in the blog post.

It was not too long ago that Sony hosted a separate State of Play for Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima which offered an 18-minute demo of the game elaborating on the in-game mechanics and other elements for the approaching title. Alike the announcement for the Feudal Japan- set title, Sony tells that there will be no news regarding the anticipated PlayStation 5 console.

In other news regarding the upcoming Naughty Dog follow-up, Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed that The Last of Us Part II will be receiving a themed PlayStation 4 Pro bundle. You can read the full announcement by heading here.
