Telltale Games announced more than a week ago that the studio is in-search for “potential partners” to reach the end of The Walking Dead: The Final Season. Though there was no promise if this might happen, fans stayed hopeful in the wait for this to happen.
At this year’s New York Comic-Con, creator of The Walking Dead Robert Kirkman announced that the latest season will reach its conclusion with Skybound Games. A game division based from Skybound Entertainment, the publisher for the game-inspired comic.

Not much else has been released on when we might expect to see the remaining two episodes for The Final Season. But it was mentioned that more information on the reassuring update will be revealed in the near future.
With the unfortunate news following the major layoffs at Telltale Games, collateral from the situation resulted in cancelling other projects from the studio like The Wolf Among Us Season 2 and Stranger Things. It was recently reported that the skeleton crew of the remaining employees were laid off from the studio.
