The mobile trading card game announced back in September seems to beĀ on its last breath with the game being cancelled and beta endingĀ this week (January 20 2017) as well.
Posted on the game’s Facebook page Friday states that they were unable to translate the same experience thatĀ we know from Titanfall into Frontline.
“It is our goal to create the best Titanfall mobile games that showcase the fast-paced action, mobility and, of course, the power of Titans in this iconic series. Weāve learned an incredible amount in the beta test of Titanfall: Frontline, but in the end felt the experience wasn’t ready to deliver the intense action-packed gameplay synonymous with Titanfall. While itās never easy to cancel a game, weāre excited to take some of the concepts we saw resonate with players and build off of them in future Titanfall mobile games. Titanfall: Frontlineās closed beta will be winding down in the next few days, and servers will go offline on January 20, 2017.”
Even though the game is done completely doesn’t mean it’s the last time we’ll see another attempt at a Titanfall mobile game surface asĀ there’s still aĀ multi-year partnership between Respawn Entertainment, Nexon and Particle City is still untouched.
