Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky has and continues to evolve greatly from its original state when shipped back on the PlayStation 4. This year alone has featured some of the most interesting patchwork yet for the game including the Leviathan Update which established a new narrative for players to pursue when exploring the depths of space.

Additionally, Hello Games more recently launched the Endurance Update this past July which welcomed extensive ship customization unseen for the game prior. Not only that, but there was also confirmation on the game landing for a new platform – Nintendo Switch. At the time, it was shared the port for the game is coming this October for the handheld hybrid console.

For October, Hello Games returns with a new facelift for No Man’s Sky welcoming the Waypoint Update which ushers the game into version 4.0. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

Most unique is the ability to incorporate custom games now. “Tailor every aspect of the game to your unique playstyle with custom game modes. Launch into the action quickly with an existing difficulty preset, or tinker with everything from economy to combat challenge to survival difficulty to perfect your experience.”

Moreover, Hello Games also featured a new inventory UI which better organizes your contents with less clutter and confusion. Not only that, the PC version of the game is now supporting AMD FIDELITYFX 2.0 which includes better resolution output whilst increasing the performance count also.

Hello Games went on to include a new ‘Relax Mode’ which emphasizes on the sandbox elements of the game/ “The new relaxed preset provides an accessible, laid-back experience of No Man’s Sky. Perfect for players who want to experience all facets of gameplay, from story to survival to combat, with reduced danger and minimal grind.”
