Wargaming, creators of ‘World of Tanks’ have revealed that their free-to-play title on PC and Xbox 360 would be coming to Xbox One later this year. No release date details have been given yet, but they have told us the game will support cross-platform play between Xbox One and Xbox 360 at release. (Another free-to-play title, Happy Wars also planned to have this feature but later dropped it, I’m interested in seeing how this one plays out). Both systems will also feature the same content updates and battle servers.
Your save progress from Xbox 360 will also go to Xbox One and vice versa. You will be able to switch platforms as much as you want and your progress is transferred no matter how often you switch through the Xbox Live Cloud. This should also be enabled for the release date of the game. The integration here is great, majority of games only allow a “one transfer to next-gen” such as ‘Grand Theft Auto V’. Wargaming have really made this experience simple and work so you can always be playing with your friends.
