The annual Xbox Developer Direct is taking place this week on Thursday, January 22, 2026. It will feature Forza Horizon 6, Fable, and Beast of Reincarnation. There is also rumored to be a fourth game that apparently will have fans excited.
This is the first set of Xbox news to hit this year, and there are many more to come with it being 25 years of the platform.
How to watch Xbox Developer Direct
There will be multiple ways to watch the Xbox Developer Direct. Xbox will have the event streamed at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT / 6 PM UK time across the official Xbox Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook accounts.
There will likely also be many co-streamers watching the event along with viewers.
Forza Horizon 6 Release Date Leaked?
The Developer Direct is expected to give us the release date for Forza Horizon 6. According to a recent pop-up message spotted on Forza Horizon 5, the game will officially release on May 19, with four day early access starting on May 15, 2026.
Playground Games stated they have “much more” to show for Fable, and it’s more than what was anticipated initially. It remains unknown if the highly anticipated title will be released in 2026. Xbox has a huge year ahead with Gears of War: E-Day and Halo Campaign Evolved all planned for a release this year.
