
The string of first-party announcements from Nintendo this Friday has continued to be very engaging for fans on both Nintendo Switch & Nintendo Switch 2. For Mario fans, Nintendo kicked off the showcase with the announcement for Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 coming next month. Additionally, Mario Tennis Fever is also on the way as well for February 2026.
Elsewhere, Nintendo also pulled off the band aid for Metroid Prime 4. During the presentation, Realtor Studios revealed that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will officially ship this December for Nintendo Switch 2. Also on Nintendo Switch 2 right now, the first paid DLC ‘DK Island & Emerald Rush’ is out now for Donkey Kong Bananza also.
During the beginning of the showcase, Nintendo revealed the return to Yoshi is here since 2019’s Yoshi’s Crafted World with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:
“One day, on the island where Yoshi and his friends live, a peculiar talking book named Mr. E suddenly falls from the sky. This mysterious book’s pages contain information about unusual creatures, so Yoshi decides to jump in and help investigate,” the description for the game reads. Only other details confirmed is that it will not release on the original Nintendo Switch.
On the topic of returning Nintendo releases, it was revealed that that Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack is to feature the Virtual Boy with over a dozen titles added to its library across Nintendo Switch & Nintendo Switch 2. You can read the full report by heading here.
