
Like Octodad: The Dadliest Catch for the PlayStation 4, Bugsnax is the same for the PlayStation 5: an obscene yet charming addition to ease in the newest generation of PlayStation hardware. Since its inception, fans jokingly, but not ironically encouraged excitement for the game for the full release. Even more, the game studio framed the project to be the closest to an Ape Escape launch since the last entry has been quite a while ago.
Coming launch of Bugsnax, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that Bugsnax will be a PlayStation Plus game for all subscribers then. More noteworthy is that the version for PlayStation 4 is also cross-gen as well at the time. Even more, PlayStation Plus featured the title for nearly two months ending by January the following year.
Now this week during the State of Play presentation, Young Horses resurfaces with news on its next release for the game. Announcing a new free update, The Isle of BIGsnax. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:
“Journey to a mysterious new island where the Bugsnax are truly enormous! You’ll need to master new mechanics like the Shrink Spice, which can cut the giant Bugsnax down to a catchable size. Joining you are Chandlo, Floofty, Triffany, and Shelda, who will explore both the island’s long-forgotten history, and more of their own personal stories,” explains Young Horses’ Creative Director Kevin Zuhn.
“Back in Snaxburg, you’ll finally have your very own hut! You can take on challenges from your mailbox to earn furniture and accessories to customize your living space. These challenges put a few twists in the gameplay, and will shake up how you explore and catch.” Adding, “And last but not least; capture rare Bughats in order to dress up your favorite Bugsnax.
