Young Horses, the developer behind the zany Octodad: Deadliest Catch has returned to announce a new title that will be shipping alongside the coming PlayStation 5 later this year, Bugsnax. Studio Co-Founder Phil Tibitoski shares the latest title from the developer to be its most ambitious and even “mildly concerning.”

While Tibitoski felt that Young Horses preceding release did not take advantage of the Dualshock 4’s capabilities as he would have hoped, he tells that Bugsnax this time around will surely do so with unique properties only available with the DualSense controller.

You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

“Our first-person adventure, you play as a journalist who receives a mysterious film from the disgraced explorer, Elizabert Megafig. She’s invited you to Snaktooth Island to witness her latest and greatest discovery,” Tibitoski elaborating on the plot for Bugsnax explains. ”Bugsnax! Lured by the promise of a great story, you travel to the island to interview Elizabert and her group of misfit grumpuses. In the pursuit of your big scoop, you get caught up in hunting Bugsnax, feeding grumpuses, and solving the mysteries of the island…”

Adding on, Tibitoski continues by sharing that the Young Horses team is still working with other possible gameplay features or elements that could be included in the final version of Bugsnax. Tibitoski finishes by sharing that more is set to be revealed leading to the release for the new game later on this year.

Bugsnax is set to release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 sometime in holiday 2020.
