Taken from the Halo Infinite presentation, fans left with mixed feelings either underwhelmed by the changes made, mostly visually, or to be over-the-top excited for the game to arrive later this holiday season. Following the presentation this past Thursday, 343 Industries continued further by pressing its fans with additional details for the game regarding the story campaign. In that, the studio disclosed that there will be additional content that will be added to the story mode alone.
This does not include what will be infused into the multiplayer portion as we would presume already – there is plenty that the developer has in-store for Halo Infinite fans when the game launches later this year. However, there was some grey areas left unclarified which spruced some questions lingering with no answer.
One was how local split screen would work for Halo Infinite: seeing how complex the game can be for one player, it draws the question as for how it would perform if more users shared the screen. Thankfully, 343 Industries design lead Jerry Hook shared on Twitter that co-op will operate different at launch. In that, local play will only support up to two players while online co-op will provide support for a four-player party.
Alongside other revealed details that took place after the initial demo preview for Halo Infinite, 343 Industries has also shared that the gameplay presented took place hours after the game’s introduction. Already aware of what the game’s start will be from last year’s trailer, it is suspected that there will be an involved introductory segment for the first few hours of the game.
Followers looking for more clarification on Halo Infinite, the firm said elsewhere that the gameplay shown was running on a PC to the same standards as an Xbox Series X. However, the visuals shown is reported to be a result of poor, indirect lighting due to the dynamic light source to implement the game’s day/night cycle. You can read the full report by heading here.
