Heavy hitter releases for Ubisoft is still underway as some of its most ambitious titles yet faced an abrupt delay previously. Back in October, the publisher during its quarterly earnings reports disclosed that planned titles will be pushed to the following year. Both being Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six: Quarantine, the duo are now expected to arrive sometime in the approaching fiscal year.

For the sake of Far Cry, the newest entry starring Breaking Bad & The Mandalorian’s Giancarlo Esposito as the antagonist for the new title was already scheduled for a February release. So the pushed launch did leave fans baffled by the decision. However, Rainbow Six: Quarantine on the other hands is left rather unfazed as most of the project is still left a mystery.

And while there is still little to elaborate on the stand-alone entry, there might be some changes to the face of the title before it is clear when it arrives. In a new statement from Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot, and transcribed by IGN, the firm is looking to possibly rename the title based on the state of things.

On Rainbow Six: Quarantine, we are creating a product that is actually – as it’s named today – it is something we are evaluating and we’ll see what comes in the future on that product.

Pushing further, Guillemot does not discuss any additional details on the matters regarding Rainbow Six: Quarantine. The Ubisoft lead does not go as to inform on what is fueling the decision to possibly give the game a new name. At least suggested from the state of things, perhaps it is to be less intertwined with the COVID-19 issue the world is still fighting with, but that is only a guess and does not signify anything fact.

Upon other information on delayed projects from Ubisoft, the upcoming motosport project Riders Republic is now releasing in the latter half of 2021. Initially, the game was scheduled to arrive sometime in a reasonable portion for the year, but not anymore. You can read the full report by heading here.
