With many of the Halo IP in its near two decades of existing, many fans love to envision how several of the artifacts only in the video game series would be in real life. From Spartan armor to USMC and even Covenant weapons would be in 1:1 replicas, it would be even more amazing to see inspired props becoming fully functional if possible. But, some of what many identify Halo with its vehicles as well – namely the Warthog.
Introduced in the original Halo: Combat Evolved back in 2001, the multi-terrain vehicle has seen multiple revisions and changes since, but remains one of the most recognizable ground vessels in recent time. Back at the premier for the Ryan Reynolds film ‘Free Guy’ in New York City, many witnessed that the Warthog was parked on the red carpet for attendees to catch their eye before heading to the theater.
What many might not have known is that Hoonigan is responsible for the build. Virtually from scratch, the team over in California pieced together the vehicle in preparation for the red carpet event last year. You can watch Part 1 of 10 in the video below:
Previously, Hoonigan has witnessed itself enter video games with identifiable decals and other modifications in games like Need for Speed (2015) before. But, it was in 2016 with 2017’s Forza Horizon 3 that the group was officially entered into the Microsoft scene with a dedicated car pack at the time. Now, the team is officially working on the Halo three-seater.
In terms of Halo itself, the series is planning to ship its next mainline installment this December – Halo Infinite. The game is also planning to find a special edition Xbox Series X which will go on sale officially this coming November. You can read the full report by heading here.
