
The Daemon X Machina series has remained on the backburner for quite some time. After initially launching for Nintendo Switch back in 2019, the IP has remained stagnant on a follow-up. In 2020, the game was later scheduled to hit Steam as well. However, that was not the end of the line for the new IP.
By November that year, Daemon X Machina welcomed an ‘Anniversary Update’ which included a new boss fight and other in-game items. Not to mention the separate Geralt of Rivia crossover that the game received around that time too. In 2021, producer Kenichiro Tsukuda did press in an interview with Games Talk that a sequel is planned for the series,
It wasn’t until four years after that Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion was announced. Confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2 alongside all other major consoles. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

Take down your foes with all manner of explosive weaponry and master the art of combat,” the overview from the official website reads,
“In Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, you can play cooperatively with other players online in a variety of ways, including taking on story missions and fierce boss battles together. Whether you’re a rookie or a veteran, you’ll discover your own rhythm on the battlefield.” Unlike the first game, it does not appear an original Nintendo Switch version is confirmed.
