The current itinerary for developer Team Ninja remained very active especially in 2025. One of the biggest releases was all the way back in January. During the Xbox Developer_Direct, it was revealed that Ninja Gaiden II Black was available to play. Not only that, but also in partnership with Xbox Game Studios Ninja Gaiden 4 would also be on the way as well. The project is a co-op with PlatinumGames.
Additionally, Team Ninja also worked on shipping its 2024 release Rise of the Ronin on PC. Expanding its reach beyond PlayStation 5 broadens the audience for the game studios. However, the team would also soon be working to ship another entry for Nioh as well. Earlier in June, Nioh 3 was officially announced paved for an early 2026 release window.
From the PlayStation State of Play, Nioh 3 is officially scheduled to release in February later this winter. You can watch the new gameplay trailer in the video below:

“Players will also be able to freely explore each era in open-field experience, featuring beautiful and distinct environments. During his perilous quest to foil his brother’s conspiracy, Takechiyo will face various yokai and other powerful enemies, while taking on the challenge of the Crucible. During their journey, players will encounter various characters from different eras including Takeda Shingen, Minamoto no Yoshitsune, and Minamoto no Yoritomo. Other well-known figures familiar to fans will cross paths with Tokugawa Takechiyo, including Hattori Hanzo, Honda Tadakatsu, and Saito Fuku.”
