This is the time of year when Nintendo starts to do its annual Direct presentations for games they plan to release in the first half of the year. Recently, they announced a Tomodachi Life Direct, and a report is now circulating that a Nintendo Direct will be happening within the first week of February.
Well-known insider, Nate The Hate, reported in his latest YouTube video with MVG that the next Nintendo Direct will take place in February. To be more specific, the insider says the Direct will take place on the opening week of February, with the broadcast planned to be on February 5.
He has not been able to confirm with his sources yet, but it sounds like this is the area where Nintendo will host its annual Winter presentation. Nate has not heard whether this would be a Partner Direct or a general Direct.
