Wizard101 reaches 1 million console downloads

Publisher and Developer KingIsle Entertainment announced that MMORPG, Wizard101, has reached 1 million console downloads since its debut in late 2025. The game made its way to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in Fall 2025 and recently launched for the Nintendo Switch. 

For 17 years, Wizard101 had been exclusively available on PC via Steam and through the official game’s website. The release on console has introduced even more players to enroll in the prestigious Ravenwood Academy.

“This milestone is truly telling of the strength of the Wizard101 brand and its player base,” said Wolfgang Duhr, CEO of gamigo group. “This project was long-awaited by players worldwide, and we’re happy to say it was worth the hard work it took to make it a reality. We aren’t ready to put away our wizarding wands just yet though — there’re many milestones ahead of us for Wizard101, KingsIsle Entertainment, and gamigo group as a whole.”

Wizard101 is free-to-play on Xbox and PlayStation. The Switch version is $19.99 USD, which includes full access to the first arc of the Wizard101 storyline.
