Birds in Heartopia are wildlife creatures you can discover and photograph as part of the Birdwatching hobby. Each bird belongs to a species found in specific locations and conditions. Photographing them adds entries to your Bird Encyclopedia and earns Bird Info Cards.

These cards can be turned in for rewards, hobby progress, and gold. Make sure to level up your birdwatching hobby to unlock tools like binoculars and whistles to attract or see birds from a distance. Stand still and wait for the birds to perform actions for better photos.

How To Find Birds in Heartopia

Unlock the birdwatching hobby before taking photos of birds in Heartopia. Reach about Developer Level 6 in the game and interact with Bailey J. You can find this NPC upstairs in the pet store or near the town park. Speak with Bailey J and use a Hobby Expansion Ticket to unlock Birdwatching. Once unlocked, you’ll get a scanner/camera tool to spot birds.

Birds aren’t confined to a single spot because they inhabit different biomes and locations across the Heartopia world. Many common birds, such as the Wonga Pigeon, spawn in the forest biome. You can find this bird during the day in different weather.

Shorebirds and seabirds such as Audouin’s Gull and terns appear near beaches and seaside regions. Flower fields and town parks host species like Azure Tit or fruit doves.

Rare birds like Paradise Peacock and Golden Eagle show up in the Royal Garden or Mountain Peak at specific times. Watch for special poses like flying, singing, and feeding to gain higher star photos.

Birds move and pose at intervals, so stay still and wait for good times. Completing your bird encyclopedia gives rewards and progress for the Birdwatching hobby. High-quality photos can be sold for gold or turned in for XP and items.

How To Take Photos of Birds

Equip your scanner/camera from your toolbox to take photos of birds in Heartopia. Scan the environment thoroughly, and birds will appear with outlines or movement. Make sure to focus and identify birds by holding the focus until the species is recognized.

Take a photo to add to your Bird Encyclopedia and earn rewards. I highly recommend you keeping distance while taking photos of birds. Dawn and dusk are great times for activity and photography. Some birds prefer specific weather, like rain or rainbow weather, or times of day. Upgrading Birdwatching skills helps you find and photograph rarer birds.

Hi, I’m Ali. I started gaming with Max Payne, and it set the tone for my interest in darker, more immersive experiences. I mostly play soulslikes, RPGs, and FPS titles that focus on tight mechanics and pacing.

I have a strong appreciation for game soundtracks and how they shape the overall experience. I’m also a long-time horror fan, across both games and films, with a preference for atmosphere-driven storytelling. This space reflects that passion, exploring games through both their mechanics and the atmosphere they create.
