After the Apogee Entertainment phenomenon Turbo Overkill, Sam Prebble of Tigger Happy Interactive move ahead with another project: Total Chaos. Originally, the project was a mod conversion for Doom II which later blossomed into a standalone release. Just last month the game received a New Game+ update which injected new enemies, locations, and an alternative ending to the story.
Now this week, Total Chaos is to return in the form of a Nintendo Switch 2 release on the Nintendo eShop; priced at $24.99 (pre-order sale price of $22.49). You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“Descend into one of the most atmospheric psychological survival horror experiences ever created. Set on the decaying mining island of Fort Oasis, Total Chaos blends classic and modern survival horror design into a relentless nightmare. Once a thriving coal-mining community, the island now stands abandoned… but not empty,” the trailer’s description shares. “Explore a world drenched in dread, where something is always watching.”
The Nintendo Switch 2 features for Total Chaos includes 1080p fidelity docked & 720p resolution in handheld. Both versions unlocked are targeting 60 frames per second. The system will also feature gyro control support as well as mouse controls unique to the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons. The Switch 2 version might shape up to being one of the most definitive ways to experience Total Chaos.
