Last year, Hello Games spoiled No Man’s Sky with the number of content updates the game received. In summer 2025, the game was greeted with the ‘Voyagers’ update which refreshed the multiplayer experience including skydiving as well as a new crew feature. Additionally, the fall was no different when ‘Breach’ shipped that welcomed ghost ships & space salvaging to No Man’s Sky.
Upon entering 2026, the content has yet to cease in the new year. February was met with the ‘Remnant’ update that brought new features like Waste management, vehicle customization, and salvage expeditions. The most recent update, ‘Xeno Arena’, arrived this April and the content offered players new a new creature system to breed alongside battle in-game.
Now this week, No Man’s Sky is back with its newest update: The Swarm. In the update, battling is a major focus as the Hive of Glass and Swarmers are a main focus. Even a new rival team system is introduced splitting the community into three factions. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“The galaxy is overrun with droves of fast-flying, fast-shooting swarmers. Equip your favourite ship weapons and prepare to dogfight against overwhelming odds,” the website reads for The Swarm. “Gather intelligence for the war effort by dismantling the bodies of fallen swarmers, exposing the corrupted ichor that flows through their circuits.
“The Swarm expedition fragments the community into three teams, each representing an aspect of the Traveller soul – the royal, the sage, and the weaver. Every fragment is essential, but only one team will finalise the counter-swarm effort and be celebrated in the Space Anomaly for all time.”
How excited are you for No Man’s Sky The Swarm update?
