Halo: Campaign Evolved will feature a Machinima Mode

Halo Studios released a new Q&A for Halo: Campaign Evolved today ahead of the game’s release in just a few weeks. They announced that a Machinima Mode will be featured in the game at launch.

This comes after it was revealed there won’t be a Photo Mode or Theater Mode featured in Halo: Campaign Evolved. Machinima Mode will allow players to pop out a freecam, lower their weapons, and control their Spartan while in freecam mode.

Machinima mode is available to all players by using input combos, and it does not need to be unlocked by finding a Skull.

Halo Studios also shared other information about the game including the confirmation that Halo: Campaign Evolved will feature a physical disc.

Halo: Campaign Evolved launches July 28, 2026 for XBOX Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Early access begins on July 23, 2026.
