Sega Announces Sonic Mania Plus At SXSW

Announced at SXSW, Sonic Team Head Takashi Iizuka has announced that there will be a physical version of Sonic Mania on the way for Xbox One, Playsyation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Set for this Summer, Sonic Mania Plus will feature two new characters to play as. Mighty The Armadillo and Ray The Flying Squirrel will be playable on top of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles.
Along with the newly announced characters, this new package release will also come with a four-player competitive mode and encore mode. A 32 page art book for the game. And a reversible cover for the case of the game, one side being Genesis and other side Mega Drive.
Originally rumored that this reveal would possibly be Sonic Kart when the panel was announced, but with this physical edition instead and bringing new content is still great overall.
