It has been reported by Jeff Grubb via Game Mess Mornings that the next PlayStation State of Play is scheduled for late September. The insider also suggests the long-rumored PlayStation 5 Pro could make an appearance at this show. He wasn’t able to confirm if the new console would be at the State of Play, but he implies it’s still releasing this year.

“There is probably going to be a PlayStation State of Play by the end of September. I don’t know if the PS5 Pro is in this State of Play, where else could it be?”

According to Insider Gaming, the PlayStation 5 Pro is still scheduled to release in mid-November. The outlet also mentioned it would make sense to have the State of Play right before Tokyo Game Show goes live on September 26.
