The Battlefield 6 Open Beta has been the trend of the week. In its Early Access phase, it reached over 330K concurrent players, beating Battlefield 2042’s all-time peak. As of Saturday, August 9th, the Battlefield 6 Beta has reached over 500K concurrent players.
On Steam, Battlefield 6 hit an all-time peak of 521,079 players. This now means the game has surpassed Call of Duty’s concurrent player total of 491K.

This is only as of the first day in the Open Beta, and there are even higher expectations of the full game reaching these heights.
Battlefield 6 launches on October 10, 2025 for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and EA App. There will be no release on the Nintendo Switch 2 says Electronic Arts.
In other news, EA announced that its Anti-Cheat system has blocked over 330K players from cheating in the Open Beta already.
