What initially came to be a very unfortunate announcement with Bethesda delaying the release date for Doom Eternal is now just less than a week away. The sequel to the titular 2016 reboot was originally scheduled to arrive in November last year, but was pushed to March for more work to help ship a smoother game.
Bethesda also decided to stack the same-day release of Doom 64 when delaying Doom Eternal as well. But fortunately, the publisher announced that the 1997 title will be shipping on all platforms instead of just on Nintendo Switch and will be a bonus for those who pre-ordered the upcoming follow-up.
Now as the days begin to count down for the last week of Doom Eternal’s arrival, Bethesda has listed the game’s PC specification requirements. You can view both the required and recommended specification lists below:
PC Minimum Specifications – 1080p / 60 FPS / Low Quality Settings)

Thankfully, Doom Eternal is a very space cautious game only costing PC users 50 GB of hard drive space. On interesting aspect listed on the blog post is that there are recommended specifications for players who decided to take on Ultra Nightmare also: asking for an Intel Core i9, 16GM of RAM, and a NVIDE GeForce RTX 2080. The difficulty mode is also equipped with a “maxed out” option on PC for those who can push the amount of power.
Swimming over to the side of consoles, Doom Eternal is also said to support HDR across all platforms the game is launching on; including the older iteration Xbox One, Xbox One S, and PlayStation 4. The stronger Xbox One X is said to ‘up-sample’ to 4K resolution from the pushed 1800p whilst PlayStation 4 Pro will also be scaled to 4K from 1440p.
What platform do you plan on picking up Doom Eternal on?
Doom Eternal is slated to release on March 20, 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
