Square Enix made their presence at the Xbox Game Showcase known with a nice surprise. After two years of being available on PS5, Final Fantasy XVI has been released on Xbox Series X|S today.
With the release of Final Fantasy XVI on Xbox that means every mainline single-player Final Fantasy game is playable on the Xbox platform.
Fans can now purchase the Standard or Complete Edition on Xbox Series X|S, with the Complete Edition containing all expansions and DLC. It’s also an Xbox Play Anywhere title, meaning one purchase lets you play across all Xbox platforms with full cross-save.
Square Enix also announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be coming to Xbox Series X|S. A release date was not revealed for that yet.
