This past E3 took fans of the gaming industry by surprise with the studio appearances made at the handful of press conferences held for the Los Angeles event. Developers like Remedy Entertainment and Techland debuting their anticipated titles left viewers eager for the upcoming years with new titles. One that really stood out is From Software revealing their latest title Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice at Microsoft’s E3 Conference.
It wasn’t too long before then at last year’s Game Awards that the Japanese developer teased what the studio had next to later be revealed in June. But recently news revolving around the Tokyo-based studio has revealed that there are two more unannounced titles in the works currently. 4Gamer in an interview with From Software have reported that amid Sekiro and Deracine, the studio has more to release.
According to the translation from Gematsu, studio President Hidetaka Miyazaki told the Japanese videogame outlet that the two unnamed games are part of a 3.5 product line which includes the two previously mentioned titles. To straighten out any further questions, Miyazaki followed up with a comment telling the website that Dark Souls Remaster & Metal Wolf Chaos XD isn’t include with the product line as being requested from their publishers.
When the game outlet asked what the two titles could be, the company President stated:
While it isn’t the time to discuss details, they’re both [From Software]-esque games, we’ll need a little more time, but we’ll be able to tell everyone more about them once they take shape.
Further speculation revolving around what either of the two titles might be, when asked if the Bloodborne Easter egg might be nodding towards an upcoming sequel, Miyazaki told 4Gamer the studio enjoyed adding the title, but the in-game reference might have done more damage than good.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is aimed for a release date somewhere in 2019.
