Frontier Developments Reveal Planet Zoo For PC This Fall

Fans who have been patiently waiting for the next project from simulator studio Frontier Developments can finally breath as the developer has revealed their next title, Planet Zoo. Similar to their preceding titles, the player is given the tools to build and maintain their own line of animal exhibits for an upcoming zoo.

From the announcement teaser, not much other detail has been revealed regarding what exactly makes this new game unique compared to previous Zoo Tycoon. Depicted from announcement on Frontier’s blog post, Chief Creative Officer Johnny Watts shares that the upcoming title will “carry on the great legacy of classics,” referring to titles prior to Planet Zoo.

“We’re taking everything we’ve learned from our past work and focusing on modern values – incredible authenticity, rich management, limitless creativity and community sharing – to make our best-ever simulation game.”

The post also shares that player freedom will play a big part in the creative process for how players will sculpt out their own menagerie: from creating respected scenery representing the animal’s home region to shifting the landscape of your zoo will all be available to your disposal.

Currently, Planet Zoo is said to be coming to PC later this Fall. Ports for other platforms however have yet to be discussed nor discarded as of yet.
