During Nintendo’s recent Direct (September 4, 2019) they showed off a bunch of new games including Overwatch, but of course there was more news on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Banjo & Kazooie have dropped into Smash Ultimate today right after the show, but there is a mode returning to the title that is a classic to the series. Home-Run Contest mode has arrived in SSB Ultimate and supports up to 4 players.

Home-Run Contest mode will be available in Games & More and will be an offline mode of course and it’s worthy to note some of the special moves in Home-Run Contest will behave differently from other modes.

There were other offline updates including spirits that will appear in the shop on the Vault menu:

  • Tooty
  • Bottles
  • Mumbo Jumbo
  • Jinjos
  • Jiggy
  • Gruntilda
  • Buzzbomb

Stay tuned for more Super Smash Bros. Ultimate news.
