Rewinding back to late 2020, it was originally anticipated that Microsoft Flight Simulator could ship sometime in the Xbox Series X launch window. At the time, the claim was suggested when French developer Asobo Studio liked a tweet making the statement at the time. However, now sitting in June roughly six months later, there is still no sign of a launch date for the title.

But, it is certain that the developer is aiming to release the game later this summer as indicated from a trailer during The Game Awards this past December. Following, there was also the addition of more support for the title to other platforms, but just not Xbox, yet. In that, Asobo Studio implemented support for virtual reality headsets which stands as a free update for the base game.

However, a new listing (now removed) over on GameStop Ireland depicts the game to release on June 15th next week. Thankfully, The Verge’s @TomWarren on Twitter archived the listing as an image on one post which you can view below:

Of course, it is anticipated that Microsoft will be unveiling the announcement practically shadowdropping Microsoft Flight Simulator for console following its upcoming E3 showcase. This Sunday, the organized Microsoft-Bethesda E3 Showcase is to take place where fans are to anticipate new information on first-party releases including Halo Infinite and hopefully Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga.

Back to Microsoft Flight Simulator, it was recently discovered that Asobo Studio in a recent patchwork update welcomed a massive weight relief on game owner’s hard drives. In that, the overall game size was reduced from 170+ GB to 83 GB. You can read the full report by heading here.

Are you hoping to get your hands on Microsoft Flight Simulator on console soon?

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC.
