February alone has been quite an eventful month for the ongoing battle royale, Apex Legends. This month marks the first full year since the game’s abrupt shadow drop back in 2019. Additionally, the fourth content season for Respawn Entertainment’s online project also launched introducing the newest Legend, Revenant.
Now this for weekend only, Respawn Entertainment decided to treat their players by returning the classic King’s Canyon map to the game’s lobbies for the next four days.
We have witnessed this happen before from the game’s developers, but that was only through celebratory events like this past October for the Fight or Fright event which masked the original setting with a night overtone. And the same iteration reemerged via the Grand Soirée event that went live last month in January.
Respawn Entertainment when briefing the then-approaching Season 4 for Apex Legends did disclose that King’s Canyon would in fact be returning, but for a totally different instance. The development team cited that the initial map for the battle royale would only be available in Season 4 during the second Split for Ranked matchmaking which would relocate the lobbies to King’s Canyon, exclusively.
Running from today February 21 to February 24 this coming Monday, all players will be granted access to land back into King’s Canyon on standard online play. Surprisingly, Respawn did not disclose any additional goodies that might arise from the short return of the map.
Do you plan on heading back onto Apex Legends to play on King’s Canyon?
