Canadian developer KO_OP, the team responsible for GNOG and Winding Worlds, announces Goodbye Volcano High, a narrative-driven, choice-based title coming to both PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 next year. During the PlayStation 5 showcase Sony hosted recently, the game shares the story of a group of dinosaurs that are preparing for the last round of highschool memories before the year ends.

KO_OP Community Manager Marcela Huerta shares in a blog post that Goodbye Volcano High will star non-binary voice actor Lachlan Watson (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and feature some of the best artwork produced from its Montreal-based team.

You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“We want playing Goodbye Volcano High to bring you the satisfaction of binging your favorite TV shows. But, unlike with TV, you’ll have the power and the emotion in your hands as you guide our characters through a branching narrative, with innovative use of the PS5’s features, Huerta when explaining the intentions of the coming project.”

Although Goodbye Volcano High is primed to release in the coming year, the title will be a platform exclusive for PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 when it releases alongside a PC version as well. Follow suit, Xbox Series X and perhaps even Xbox One players could also expect to receive a port later on.

How invested are you already for Goodbye Volcano High?

Goodbye Volcano High is set to ship for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2021.
