Macklin Celebrini to be cover athlete of EA Sports NHL 27

EA Sports has not revealed anything about its next NHL game, but it seems like it will be revealed soon. It was already leaked that EA Sports NHL 27 will be releasing in early September and now we know who the cover athlete will be.

Macklin Celebrini of the San Jose Sharks will be on the cover of EA Sports NHL 27.

This was revealed by a pre-order campaign link that was found by Mike Straw of Insider Gaming.

We don’t know what the cover will actually look like, but expect to see the first San Jose Shark on the cover of an NHL game since EA Sports NHL 2001 which featured Owen Nolan.

It’s no surprise to see young super star Celebrini make his way on the face of an NHL game. The 21 year old center had 45 goals and 115 points in just his second season.

We shouldn’t have to wait long for the official reveal to arrive now. NHL 27 is expected to release for PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X|S. A PC or Nintendo Switch 2 version is not in the cards for this one, reports say.
