Developer Tribute Games regarding its upcoming action platformer Panzer Paladin has been shy towards sharing more about the upcoming project. While the team has been happy to host demos for the game at events and presented a trailer for the title, it is more or less the same level unfortunately. But with the game’s approaching release for this coming summer, it was imminent that the studio would share more about the game eventually.
Now just moments ago today, Tribute Games reemerges to share a new gameplay trailer which unveils a myriad of new information for the summer-scheduled title. You can watch the trailer in full in the video below:
What can be taken from the new look at the game is the varying landscapes that the leading Squire will explore when progressing through the main story. Right off the bat, we witness a world overview of the global map highlighting different segments for demonic epicenters and portraying the boss you’ll expect to face when reaching the end.
Traversing over rooftops in a sunset metropolis, battling on a coastal island surrounded by piles of skeletal remains and fighting your way through the underbelly of an urban neighborhood are some to expect in the full game. These locales can also expect to introduce new enemies as well including sword-wielding centipedes, and other demonic foes you’ll expect to face. The previously mentioned bosses also make an appearance at the end of the trailer showcasing a Medusa-like enemy, ghost, and succubus.
The most interesting reveal from the trailer is the weapon creator halfway through the video. Players will be able to craft their own hand-wielding armaments and decorate them to their liking. Options such as choosing the handle alongside adjusting damage, spells, and weapon type is shared to be customizable also.
During this most recent PAX East, Rectify Gaming spoke with Tribute Games about the Panzer Paladin and demoed the game while visiting. You can read the full feature by heading here.
Panzer Paladin is framed to ship sometime in summer 2020 for PC and Nintendo Switch.
