Sony has had a successful run with the PlayStation 4 this year worldwide and total units sold are now up to 94.2 million. There was a total of 8.1 million units shipped during the third quarter which is lower than last year by only 0.9 million. Sony’s forecast of 17.5 million units sold from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019 remains the same and it’s very possible they can reach 100 million units by then.

PlayStation Plus subscribers were up over 2 million from the previous fiscal year and that now brings it up at 36.3 million as of the 31st of December 2018.

In other news it was revealed that Sony had also bought the PlayStation5.pro domain which gives more hints that we could be hearing about the next generation console as soon as this year, but time will tell when that will be.
