It has been more than half a decade since the release of Pokémon Go back in 2016 and millions across the globe understand the basis for the game. And while it remains an accessible release on mobile, players look for seamless gameplay when out and about. Came the Pokémon Go Plus did just that with allowing players to continue playing with the new wearable device.

Since then, Pokémon Go continues to evolve as Niantic works on new ways to experience the game. Rewinding back to February last year, Pokémon Go was announced to be receiving official Pokémon Trading Cards properly integrating the mobile title into the tabletop experience. There is also an official Microsoft HoloLens build of Pokémon Go presented previously, but little has developed on the project since.

This week at the latest Pokémon Direct, The Pokémon Company revealed the new Pokémon Go Plus + is on the way and will come with improvements all round for active players. You can watch the announcement trailer in the video below:

“For the Trainer who never stops training, even in their sleep. With Pokémon GO Plus +, you’ll be able to play Pokémon GO without checking your smartphone, and track your sleep data to use in Pokémon GO and Pokémon Sleep,” The Pokémon Company puts for the video’s description on YouTube.

Noted, the Pokémon Go Plus + supports mort than Pokémon Go. In that, The Pokémon Company shared it will also be integrated for Pokémon Sleep as well. Pressing the button on the device before and after sleeping will record you sleeping patterns for the app and can interact with Pokémon you save to the device. Pokémon Sleep is said to officially release after a three year wait later this fall.
