This June it would have been two years since we last heard about Metroid Prime 4 for the Nintendo Switch and that would be the anniversary of the reveal at E3. Today, Nintendo announced that they fully restarted the development of Metroid Prime 4 and have given the control to Retro Studios to develop the game like they’ve done in the past. Takahashi revealed that the project hadn’t reached its standards they wanted so they decided to reboot it.

It’s going to be a long road until we see officially gameplay and more about this title. If everything was going to plan this coming E3 in June we’d probably see something more, but now we just have to wait and see what happens with this series moving forward.

Luckily Nintendo have a lot of great titles for fans to enjoy in the mean time like Animal Crossing and Pokemon this year.
