Well over a year ago, Microsoft shared to be conjoining its current first-party network of studios under one name, Xbox Game Studios. The announcement held more as a rebranding to better recognize the new foundation for the Xbox brand from the previously named Microsoft Studios, and it does holds for the better especially in alignment with the coming next-generation hardware in the approaching year.

Now, Sony Interactive Entertainment plans to do a similar approach to the its first-party developed projects as well. Announcing PlayStation Studios, the firm also shipped the introductory animation you’ll find when booting up a game under the new group. You can view the clip in the video below:

“Introducing PlayStation Studios, the new brand name for all of your favorite exclusive PlayStation games, the description for the new network reads from the video. The clip itself shows to reel all recognized releases unique to the Sony brand dished out through the myriad of teams within the Worldwide Studios roster. There also happens to be so questionable influence from the animation itself, but there is more to it on the base surface.

When speaking with gamesindustry.biz, Sony Interactive Entertainment tells that there is a larger picture in mind aside from what you’ll inherit from viewing the introduction animation. “What we really wanted to do was create a way to bring the consumer into the world,” Sony Interactive Entertainment Vice president Eric Lampel tells.

“When they play our games that’s the nice robust piece that happens, and then you’re transported into an adventure with rich worlds, old characters, and really captivating stories. We’re all huge Marvel fans. One of our biggest games of all time has a Marvel character in it with Spider-Man. But this is really about doing something specific for our games and our industry.”

In other recent events, Microsoft happened to do a similar intro reveal by sharing the boot-up chime that Xbox Series X owners will find once turning on the new system. You can view the full report by heading here.
