Looking back at the start of the year, Japanese publisher Square Enix revealed in their annual financial report that one game will drop later this year which will boost sales and overall morale from the unnamed title. Company President Yosuke Matsuda shared with their investors that E3 will answer their questions to what the publisher has planned for 2019.

Following to this month, Square Enix dropped a surprise trailer for the delayed Final Fantasy VII Remake with details suggesting that the game will have more to offer next month, pointing towards E3. Which seemed to fit the role for the untitled game implied from the beginning of the year.

But now, Square Enix just less than two weeks before E3 have revealed that the originally revealed 2017 title will now be present at the publisher’s press conference next month.

Since the project’s announcement roughly two years ago, not one piece of gameplay has been presented nor did any more details surface aside from what direction Crystal Dynamics plans to take for the core gameplay. More news from the latest announcement also reveals that two of Square Enix’s studios will be working on the upcoming title.

Atop of the Tomb Raider developer being the primary studio working on the game, Dues Ex’s Eidos Montreal will be part of the game’s development on the Avengers project as well. Aside from the heads up to next month’s event, no further information has been released.

Square Enix will be hosting their annual press conference on June 10th at 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST.
