Publisher 2K, most known for the company’s entries in the video game industry like the Mafia series, the titular NBA-endorsed annual franchise, and even Borderlands: and even with the amount of games that we are already familiar with, 2K still has new projects under wraps which have yet to be fully revealed.

Recently, Sumo Digital, the developer who recently released Crackdown 3 and Unbox studio Red Kite Games have announced to be working alongside 2K one future projects. The blog post reading:

“Sumo Digital, part of the Sumo Group PLC and a leading independent video game developer, today announced the company is working on new projects with publisher,” the post announces. “While details remain under wraps, Sumo revealed that development will take place at its Sheffield Studio and the recently acquired Red Kite Games.”

With the minimal bits of detail that was given from the vague post, we do know that what will be coming from this new partnership is bringing multiple titles to the table under 2K. However, what exactly that these undefined projects are will be kept a secret until either the developers or the publisher is ready to disclose said games.

This is only a couple of the many projects that 2K has scheduled with the bevy of different developers under the company’s belt. Previously, it was revealed that ex-Sledgehammer Games Founder Michael Condrey has taken the helm of a new studio at 2K following his departure from the Call of Duty developer. Another example being the “top-secret” Bioshock-related project that Kotaku Editor Jason Scherier revealed following the discovery of the Mafia developer Hanger 13 going arise in result from the unsettling launch of 2016’s Mafia III.

Since the breaking news of the unannounced title revolving around Irrational Games’ landmark IP, no official detail regarding the game has been disclosed. Although, fans could have some hope for a potential 2020 release as game industry analyst Michael Patcher predicts 2K to release a Bioshock title next year.
